A grade II listed 1930’s modernist property in need of refurbishment. Sharman Grimwade Ltd carried out an assessment of the property, proposing an M&E solution that demonstrated a 91% reduction in energy consumption through space heating, which translates to an 86% reduction of annual CO2 emissions. Proposals incorporated fabric and glazing upgrades and replacement of the old oil boiler with a ground source heat pump. Despite a significant capital outlay, a payback period of 4-5 years was demonstrated.
